A lot of people believe that if their child plays ECNL, that they will be recruited by a college and perhaps get a scholarship.  But is the cost of playing ECNL worth the money it costs.  There has been some discussion about if a parent simply saved the money spent on ECNL into  college fund, the player could get a guaranteed funding for college.
